CALGON, Take Me Away!

by Patty Palmer

I despise weekly cleaning
It's always such a bore.
Tedious and demeaning
I hate it to the core.

Dusting causes air pollution
Sending dust mites through the air
Lemon Pledge might be a solution
Keeping water rings from there.

Scrubbing floors down on my knees
My hands are cracked and red
Mr. Clean could do this with ease
If his scrubbing bubbles weren't in bed

Washing dishes with liquid Dawn
Stacking china, piled high
All that nasty grease is gone
We can kiss that crap goodbye!

Hoover Smart Wash (as seen on t.v.)
Cleans carpet just like that
It leaves no residue, you'll see
You'll never know we have a cat!

Now the weekly cleaning's done
My friends helped quite a lot
Now relax and have some fun
But, now my body's shot.
