I Know You Are Listening

by Raffaelina Lowcock

Dear God:

I know you have been listening to me through the years and I have decided to write you a letter. Thank you for a life full of love and understanding. Although at the end of each day there were many unfinished things that I had tried hard to complete. I truly hope you can help me to be more specific in my intentions. I wish I could see your face and implore you to inspire in me a thirst for future endeavors. I thank you for the joy of good friends and ask for peace in my heart.

If you could bless me with the light I need, not for my eyes but for my mind, that will enable me to examine any errors I may have made. As well, light to guide me on the possible tangled ways of the upcoming days.

I sincerely thank you for the many blessings in my life and the honor I have of being the mother to four men

I would hope that you will grant me the wisdom to recognize the need in others and to make sure that when I can be of assistance I will be just that.

I always trusted that when I was asleep, you looked after my world.

Your child.
