My Mouth Will Praise With Songs

by Sandra du Plessis

The men on earth don't show kind love
no mercy in their heart;
the poor and needy he will slay
from God, they will depart.

They clothed themselves with cursing robes
their garments girdled tight;
the Lord recalls the evil men
who speak against His might.

I pray to God, to save my soul
Your mercy I will need;
I'm tossed all over by the winds
my knees are weak and bleed.

You let my foes all stand in shame
my mouth will praise with songs;
You saved the poor from ones who judge
the souls who served lifelong.
