A Sonnet

Second Chance Valentine

by Dolly'sPoems

My Valentine, not sure you would be mine,
our meet began on-line in cool November,
resigned I was, to make our friendship shine,
but trouble started, as I now remember.

Too many memories we both held dear,
our hearts were too sincerely lost in grief,
we feared to let the past then disappear,
and lose ourselves in love and have belief.

But soon we learned to trust in sweet romance,
which truly did enhance the seed and grow,
and dancing under stars we took a chance,
on Valentine’s our love would overflow.

For you gave me the reason to live on,
and now we join together here as one.
