Sometimes finding your home can seems hopeless.

SLAM! The gate behind me clanged as I was shoved in this tiny room.

"Be good, you hear?" What choice did I have? Besides me, there was a bed, no blanket.
Days passed, sadness crept. People walked by, stared. I barely ate the brown, mushy food provided.

I had given up when one day, a guy put a rope around my neck and took me to a truck. I was terrified. The man finally stopped, lifted me out, led me to a house. The door opened, two kids ran out excitedly. I wagged my tail and barked. This was home.

I decided that personifying a dog would show a different perspective of what some dogs go through before getting to their final home.
