Lead Me Not Into Temptation by Patty Palmer
Temptation Poetry writing prompt entry

You look so good sitting there
Among the other sweet dishes.
They are ready to take your place
Against my very wishes.

That one nestled in greenery
With the freshness of a peach
Has a sassy attitude
But seems so out of reach.

Another off to the side
Excited to get to lunch
She'll be the first in line
Of that I have a hunch!

But none can compare
To your tastefulness
The zesty way you look at me
No other could possess!

You fill me with temptation
Wanting you is wrong, I know
But I just can't help myself when
It's ham and cheese topped with Mayo!

Writing Prompt
