RE: JUST AN OBSERVATION

Eve,

We all have gone though some things that just doesn't sit well, but I have depended upon those that, without question, have my best interests in mind when they read one of my poems.

While every review deserves consideration, eventually we may begin to depend on the reviewing by those that truly want to help us be the very best that we can...When you find such a writer, or writers, it's a good idea to use whatever help they may offer... and sadly we might just have to ignore some others...with a thanks of course..

Again, if not for some of the reviews I received from the writers I mentioned, I don't think I'd have been around since October 2004...It does take time to find your spot, but eventually, if that's your desire, you most certainly will...I wish you all the best!

Just Some Thoughts

Mrs. Major how right you are. I learned immense amounts from both Alvin, Brooke, Mountain Ray and Heather Rose. Our current teacher Jim is good too as I also guess Stacia is, although I've never taken a class or worked with her.

Au contraire, Dip. Tis you who has muted me. lol. I look forward to everyone's commitment to excellence in reviewing with full use of the star system.

RE: JUST AN OBSERVATION
Tis true My Dear Gloria and the only reason I did was if you are going to deny a fellow fanstorian access to anything you post for the last two years why should I give you the privilege to access any of my simple posts. Your mutation only occurred this month after realizing the new year and a clean slate had not changed your stance.

Petty I know but why should it be a one way street
I had never muted anyone on this site so it does sit uncomfortable.
It's your call how you want 2020 to proceed you either bury you silly petty hatchet or continue as is.

Do you talk to all strangers with such contempt, Dip? I don't know you other than some reviews and I didn't mute you until fully one year after that initial encounter three years ago when you decided I was full of pride because I wouldn't change my sonnet to suit your metre which does not fit the sonnet form.

A fact that you took great umbrage with and then promptly went in to the forum to start a thread that you and I had argued about American/Australian spellings such as favourite and neighbour. Absolute nonsense since I use the exact same Queen's English and spellings as you do.

More importantly it baffles me why you would even care. If someone mutes me I let them be. That is their choice and they have that right.

RE: JUST AN OBSERVATION
You obviously didn't read my comment above as stated. Yes I don't know you from a bar of soap other than your intelligent writes on the forum in the last year.
Obviously nothing has changed as I said with your muting stance.

I just said, my muting you sometime early in this last month of this new year was succinctly done for thereason I stated.
I wasjust putting out an olive branch.

If you are going to continue with your petty gripe as if deeply offended well lets just let it be.
As I said its your call.

the place is made up of many personalities, many diverse styles of writes. I'm not going to get into a big debate on something you obviously saw as a "personal attack", a phrase that really amuses me on this writing site.
Gloria I know, you being the head of the Canadian debating team always needs the last say.

We'll just let it be its fine by me.... just don't paint a picture as if I am some sort of Aussie arsehole who verbally abused you.
This school kid bitching of "you said, I said" could go on forever here but as an aging 65 year old ijust haven't impetus or incentive to debate this.

As I said, I have just tried to throw out the olive branch. You choose not to take it ..all sweet, lets just leave the status quo.
Its obvious my personality will continue to rub you up the wrong way to the point you see i need to be muted still.

I'll always respect your debates on the forum and your logical and intelligent input against others on that forum who appear far bigger arseholes than I could ever be.

A fellow fanstorian I be just leave it at that.

#5 Ranked Poet

RE: JUST AN OBSERVATION

While the forum is for everyone, Dr D, I believe this should never have appeared in this thread. Your personal preferences with another member should have been handled through PMs. However, you continued instead of using that function.

It is obvious that you liked this method. I know once one is muted access to that account is gone. However, the forum is not for you to air your personal gripes as you have done and continue. Your muted! So what! Get over it.

RE: JUST AN OBSERVATION
Jan as I said its fine by me I was over it 2 years ago.
It was her who made the first statement on my thread. Unfortunately the forum where one comments on a mutual thread is the only point of contact when muted.
Let's just leave it at that. I accept all my mutations both physically and poetically lol.

RE: JUST AN OBSERVATION
Do people actually spend real money to promote their works? I only promote with review money and member pumps.

I am confused as to how the ranking system works. Some people will have their score go up every day, and somehow will be greater than six soon. Mine never budges.

I have only been here since October. I have won first in a cash contest and placed in second three times. I have also won or placed numerous times in the mini 5.50 contests. I don?t budge in the rankings still, since day one.

I?m assuming that wins don?t add anything, but works that are recognized do. If this is the case, then that is stupid, because anything can be recognized if you buy your way to the top. Am I correct or is some other algorithm involved?
