An amazing work. Yes I was breathless. I zoomed through the entire work. So very creative and well written. No edits or adjustments necessary from me. Six stars!!

Thank you for your brilliant response to my story, Lance. It's probably a bit too long for a lot of people to bother with, so I appreciate your reviewing it.

God has blessed you with more creativity than all us other humans, I'm sure of it.

How did you...? Where did you...? I'm speechless! What a helluva story! Goodness gracious!

I swear you will beat DragonSkulls with your entry. This I must follow in the voting!

Your review gets a 6 star from me, no questions asked! So glad you appreciated my story to the extent you did. I challenged myself to string that story out as much as I could, and was quite shocked myself when I finished it that it came to over 1,000 words in just 26 sentences. I know that it is not really structurally sound, but that is half the charm of it probably. Really overblown. I hope you have had a lovely Easter.

You are so very welcome! I totally enjoyed it! The Easter has been excellent so far...to God be the glory!

    Have a blessed one!

Lol. Excellent piece, author. Loved the story from beginning to end. Way too many great lines to mention them all. Yeah, beating that DragonSkulls is no easy task to do. Lol. Excellent ending you came up with. I wish you the best of luck in the booth with this great entry. I'm sure it will do well, especially with all those author notes weighing on the minds of all the dear animal lovers, lol. I thought is was funny how you put your cat down just so you didn't have to worry about feeding it. Haha. Best of luck, author.

Ron

Hi Ron, thank you for that great response to my ramble. I thought the cat mention was funny too, especially as I had just posted 3 chapters in a row "Nine Lives" about how much I adored my succession of cats (none of them called Wotzername).

I was just going to read the first paragraph of this and move on, I could not stop reading this and slowed my reading to try and catch every word. I think it's a masterpiece.

Well now, I am so glad that you lingered for the full story! Thank you so much for the starry review. It's my birthday today so that is a nice gift of reassurance to my writing. xx

This was the funniest damn thing I have EVER read. I have streams of tears running down my cheeks from laughing so hard. This was brilliant and you even followed contest rules. "Karen, I'm off to the jungle." Zebra striped ensemble sweeping up maggots. I completely lost it!! I'm still laughing hysterically as I type this. All of this was priceless and soooo creative. I thank you so much for making me literally laugh my ass off. Good luck in this very difficult Alphabet Acrostic. Too damn funny!!!! Lynda

What a wonderful response. I am so glad you like my humour. Your poor bum, I hope it is fixable! Bums these days, so poorly attached.

A fine, fine job on this formidable contest. You made the story zip along, kept it believable, and provided lots of intrigue as well as that inimitable LisaMay sense of humor. Definitely a contender for the big bucks here, Sis! Good luck to you. xo

I very much appreciate your fantastic review, Rachelle. I enjoyed writing it, making it more and more ridiculous but then realising it had a strong message to amp up as well.

Well, I didn't see that ending coming. Which is good! This is very well-written and you nailed the prompt. I haven't seen that one before.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

Thank you so much for reviewing. I'm pleased I could spring a surprise ending on you, although it sure did get bloodthirsty... not my natural territory at all; I even surprised myself.

Okay, so there are some seriously long, run-on sentences here, but you have managed to make it look like there were breaks in them... although it's still more than a bit difficult to imagine a single sentence like your J, P, Q, U, and, yeah, Z..... But, leave it to the polls to decide! :) ;) Thanx for sharing! :)

Yep, I had fun challenging the sentences to behave into coherent structures that COULD be sentences, although anyone in their right mind as an editor would get out the slashing red pen and mark where shorter sentences would be way more preferable. I figured as the prompt was not a 'natural' concept, an acrostic, I could bend sentence structure for the sake of storytelling. Next time, I might see how short I can write a sequence of sentences and still make sense.

Wow, what a story and an acrostic at that. It was very entertaining and quite the skill to get it to work the way you did. Love the way you handled the X problem. Good job and good luck in the contest.

Thanks Chas. I enjoyed this prompt a lot... starting at X made it interesting to see what I could invent to precede it. Initially it was going to be about pirates and treasure, but I went for a more contemporary feel. Though the guy is still a pirate.

Good job. You may have a winner here. This jerk got exactly what he deserved. Too bad there's not much left of him. He should have been stuffed and put on display as a warning to other trophy hunters.

Now there's a great idea... to stuff the stuffers who are stuffing the survival of our wildlife.
I checked out some of the other entries and became concerned that my story was far too long in comparison, so thank you for persevering and then reviewing.
